Curious about Tool?

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

Here’s a good story about them by none other than ABC News. This journo does a pretty good job of summing them up in a short, 4 or 5 minute segment:

Shuffle Fun

Friday, September 15th, 2006

Hit Shuffle on your preferred music player and write down the first 10 songs, no matter what they are:

1. Clean (Acoustic Version) - Incubus
2. Take Me Home - Phil Collins
3. Traffic In the Sky (iTunes Originals Version) - Jack Johnson
4. Emergency - Kid Sensation
5. Summertime (album version) DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince
6. Snoop Dogg (What’s My Name, Part 2) - Snoop Dogg
7. Born as Ghosts - Rage Against the Machine
8. My Melody - Eric B. & Rakim
9. Callin’ Baton Rouge - Garth Brooks
10. Too Much Time On My Hands - Styx

Trust me, that could’ve been much, much worse.

I thought I had posted them before, but I have some photos from my visit to New York exactly one year ago today. While they wouldn’t let us go directly into the site, it was still an incredibly moving experience. I’ll try to post them later this evening.

While you are paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the attacks, or those who have fought for our douchebag President, I urge you to remember the following quote:

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

That quote is often wrongly attributed to Benjamin Franklin, but I think it fits our current environment very well.

I hate this town.

Tricky, eh? If everything went well, you should be seeing the name of your city in the graphic above.
