There’s nothing that tickles me more than an overzealous athlete who promptly thanks God or Jesus for his success on the field. Thank you Lord for allowing me the strength to throw that touchdown pass. Thank you Lord for giving my offensive linemen the appetite to eat a dump truck full o’ Twinkies so that they could protect me while I threw said pass. As if God would really care about the results of a football game? I’m sure he’s got a killer office pool going with all of the angels (he probably let’s them win once in a while…lest they think he’s using his almighty powers to see the future or affect the outcome of the games).

Please do not tell me about it.

I had a dream last night that haunted me. Chris came up to Lub and I and admitted to murdering someone (I can’t remember who it was…maybe Melissa???). He thought he was cool, but he miscalculated our reaction. Lub and I were aghast. I immediately thought that I wasn’t going to jeopardize my family or risk going to jail by keeping that secret. Lub and I scurried away and attempted to get the cops to show up. Meanwhile, Chris was plotting to kill us before we could tell anyone.

It ended with Lub driving the getaway van with me in the passenger seat and Chris chasing us into the desert.

Dreams are weird and eerie sometimes. Why can’t I dream about unicorns or Princess Leia instead?
